Answer Diane, you will want to test the thermistors as well as inspect the frost pattern of the evaporator. If the thermistors check good and the evaporator have a good frost pattern, then you may have a main control issue. If there is an excessive frost pattern that reduces air flow, then you will want to test the defrost system as the heater or defrost sensor can cause the unit to not defrost.
