This washer switch is both the lid lock and lid switch. New mounting bracket replaces older design. Which means in some applications you may need to drill off old design mounting bracket prior to mounting the new lock. If your replacing the 4 wire switch you will need to tape off light switch leads. The light will no longer be used. Instructions included.

I bought a lid lock switch for my washer but it did'nt help. What could stop my pump from working and the rinse and spin cycle from functioning?

Answer

Hello Tim. Test for power coming to the pump assembly. If there is power there, and it does not drain, you will need to replace the pump in the unit.
