Brian August 29, 2024 for Model Number FEX831FS2 Hello. My washer will not drain or spin. I noticed the lid lock wasn't locking so I replaced it. Still not locking. When I turn the timer to spin and pull the knob out the only wire on the lid switch assembly with power going to it is the white wire with a red stripe. No humming sound coming from the drain pump. Any thoughts? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Brian, thank you for contacting APP, This sounds like you may have a contact in the Washer Timer 131758600 that is not closing or opening properly. Read More...
Patrick February 28, 2024 for Model Number FGX831FS3 I was in the process of replacing the washer inlet valve on my Frigidaire model FGX831FS3 and disconnecting the lid switch model number 134101800 when one of the wires near the switch broke off. So now I need a new lid switch but how to I get and install the wire that goes into the switch? Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Patrick, the wire would be a part of the wire harness 134769600. Unfortunately, this has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. Read More...

Richard April 26, 2021 for Model Number FEX831FS4 Would not drain so I took the pump off and had it checked out at a appliance store and it worked so I hooked it back up and drain all the water out and now the lid locks and it spins but the pump is still not kicking on?
1 Answer Richard, it would be recommended that the drain pump is tested for 120 Volts AC when the unit should be draining. When testing, if there is voltage when measuring from the black wire with white stripe to the metal chassis but not when testing from the wire to the second wire, the failure would either be a broken wire or a failed timer 134883600. If there is not voltage at any point and there is not a broken wire, the lid lock 134936800 has failed. Read More...
Jessica January 18, 2018 for Model Number FFLE2022MW0 I am having trouble with my washer. It will stop mid cycle, beep 3 times, and cut off like it is finished and lid will unlock. Clothes will still be quite damp. It seems to work on the rinse and spin cycle fine. I've been trying to research what this could be and am seeing the probable causes as the lid lock or timer. I don't have the proper test equipment and trying to avoid having to pay for a tech to test it, but may have to. Any ideas?
1 Answer Jessica, This issue would most likely be caused by the control board on the unit. The part number for the control board is 5304500454. Read More...

Tom September 09, 2016 for Model Number LA400MXW2 I need a lid switch/lock for a White-Westinghouse Washing Machine and all signs point to part# 134101800. My existing bad switch only has 2 wires. All these replacement switches have 4 wire terminals. Will it still work? What are the other 2 terminals for?
1 Answer Hello Tom, One of the two wire connections is the lid switch and the other two wires are for the lid lock. All four wires are necessary for the lid lock assembly 134101800 to operate properly. While the model you provided is valid, it is too old to pull a wiring diagram for specific verification. Chouston August 11, 2016 for Model Number Part Number 134101800 (AP2108159) Before I order another part I want to take the lid lock assembly off and test it to make sure it is in fact defective and the reason why washer will not drain or spin. Have already checked the drain pump and it is fine. I need to know how to check it with an ohms meter once the assembly is removed.
1 Answer Hello CHouston. You will need to test both switches on the lid switch for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
