This authentic OEM part is a control panel membrane for ranges. The control panel membrane is the plastic display piece that goes over the selection buttons on the range control panel. If the membrane is visibly damaged, cracked, or no longer operating properly, it will need to be replaced. Luckily, this is a relatively easy repair.To begin, start by unplugging the range. After that, proceed to pry the display membrane off of the control panel using a putty knife. Gently lift the membrane off, and set it to the side. Proceed to install the new membrane by aligning it with the control panel. Once in place, push down on the adhesive of the control panel. There should be enough left over for the membrane to stay in place.
