Marc for Model Number DGUS2645LF3 After doing some research it seems that the solenoid on the dispenser door is not properly holding the door open for dispensing cube or crushed. If I use my finger to 'help' the flap open, it stays and dispenses properly but if I don't, it flips opens and immediately closes and nothing happens. Do you agree that it is the solenoid that is suppose to hold the door open? If so, I see on this website that the part breakdown only goes to the dispenser module level. Can I get just the solenoid?
Answer Marc, The solenoid 241675704/241675803, or the solenoid and yoke assembly 241675704/241675704, are both in stock and available at this time. Before you replace the assembly, check and make sure the shifter arm is properly located and attached to the side of the ice bin. Then check that the end of the shifter arm is properly located and "seated" inside the yoke of the solenoid. If all's OK, replace the part. Thanks, Read More...
