Buck for Model Number fridgidaire FSE447GHS0 My dryer started making a clicking noise at end of cycle. A lot of loads were run during the day. Then I found that there were electrical sounds whether the dryer was off or on, random ones. I cut the breakers. Now when I turn breaker back on dryer makes humming/buzzing noise, even if off, even when door is open. There is no longer the clicking noise, just constant humming, but the normal end of cycle buzzer is back when manually turned there. First I suspected timer, then motor because of the buzz like bearings gone out, then door switch since noise is never off even with door open. I'm really not sure now. The motor turns freely. Thanks
Answer Hello Buck, I would check the centrifugal switch in the motor 131560100 first since this would supply 120Vac from L2 to the internal circuitry. If this tests good I would next check for an element 131553900 shorted to ground. This is the sort of problem that is best chased through the harness with a test meter so parts are not arbitrarily thrown at the appliance. Read More...
