Frank for Model Number FSG447GHS0 The dryer will not start. It makes no noise whatsoever when you turn the start switch. The first time it happened my wife said she swears she smelled smoke (?). I have tested the start switch and the door switch, both have continuity when activated. I could not locate a thermal fuse within the cabinet. Is it likely that the motor has failed?
Answer Hello Frank, It could be the motor, but you need to test the fuse and door switch first. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
