Claude for Model Number GLER341AS2 I just asked about motor shaft lubricant to prevent the blower wheel from seizing. But if for some reason no lubricant is recommended or it doesn't prevent rust from sealing the blower wheel to the shaft, is there anything to be done to release the wheel? Spray lubricants would not appear to penetrate the inside and I'm afraid to use a propane torch because although the center of the wheel that goes on the motor shaft appears to be metalic, everything around it including the stripped nut is made of plastic and will melt.
Answer Claude, Unfortunately, you may have to break the plastic blower wheel off and use a puller tool or heat to get the metal part of the shaft or replace the motor and the blower wheel. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, April 1, 2024
