Neil B. for Model Number feq332eso My dryer stopped working after a couple of loads last evening. When I tried to start it again, it just humed, and would not spin. I think it is the motor, but is there anything else I need to check before replacing it? I looked in the back and the belt is still on. Thanks.
Answer Hello Neil, Try opening the door and holding the door switch closed. Set the unit to a cycle and reach inside and spin the drum while holding the start switch, (you may have to borrow a third hand from an assistant). If the unit starts, you have a bad start winding in the motor. If you can't spin the drum, you probably have a misguided belt or debris in the blower wheel. Read More...
