Denise for Model Number 417.44142400 The drum started making horrible clunking noises during the rinse cycle and the clothes were soaking wet when the washer shut off. A Sears repairman and said the "bearing" was broken and replacing it would cost $700. Could this be right? I'm wondering if this is a motor issue or if I really do need to buy a new machine. Thank you for your help.
Answer Hello Denise. It does sound like the bearing is bad in the unit. In order to repair the problem, you will need to replace the rear outer tub assembly 131525500. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, February 10, 2012
