Susan for Model Number GLES388DBB The heating element on the bottom over heats. I set it for 350 it goes way over. Sometime it works and other times it over heats and starts to smoke. I replaced heating element 3 times since I bought it in the past 5yrs. What could be wrong?
Answer Hello Susan. You will need to check and see if the relay for the oven is sticking in the on position. If so, the element will stay on, and will not cycle on and off. If the relay is sticking, you will need to replace the clock assembly 316272202. If the relay is good, and the temperature is not reading correctly, you may need to replace the oven sensor 316217002. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 13, 2011
