Scotty for Model Number FeF352ASG

Oven threw house breaker. Stopped working bake and broil. Stovetop Elements, clock, timer work. Can turn on bake or broil, reads fine but no heat through elements. Checked bake broil elements for damage, good. Checked continuity on bake and broil with volt meter. Good. Checked outlet for 220, good. Looks like glass case on oven light slipped off while baking. Very small fire at entry melted the light socket and one wire connector on socket. Looked at diagram, wire goes to oven door switch. Would fried socket and wire break circuit causing the door to read as open? Or in anyway stop oven from working? To broke to get unnecessary parts, new oven, or repair service. If not the problem, ideas, suggestions? Need to fix!!! Thank you for your time.

Scotty, If the oven light socket wire touched then this could cause the door open signal but also could have damaged the control board on the unit.

Hello Roberto! You'll need to open the oven door and remove the oven racks inside the unit. Remove the lens retaining wire and lens and remove the light bulb. Pull the range out from the wall and remove the rear panel. Remove the wiring to the receptacle. There are release tabs on each side of the receptacle, press those in and push the receptacle forward into the oven cavity. Remove the receptacle and install in reverse order. Hope this helps you. Thank you for your inquiry.

Greg, If you are not getting a resistance reading of the broil element then you will need to replace the element 316203200. You will also want to check the control board when turned on bake to see if you are getting 240 vac across L1 to Bake. If you are then the control board 316207511 is bad and will need to be replaced.
