Nancy for Model Number 790-95889302 My 6 year old Kenmore oven pre-heats up to 500+ unless I stop it, then when I need to bake something at say 400 degrees, I have to keep changing the temp from 350 to 425 to attempt to maintain a 375-400 degree temp. range. What part do I need and will you please give replacement instructions? Thank you
Answer Hi Nancy. Usually the oven will give a F-3 code for the oven sensor failure. It should ohm out between 1080-1,100 ohms. Rotate the wires to check the probe from the back w/ cover removed. It normally tells the clock to regulate the bake relay on/off. It appears that the bake relay contact have stuck closed and will not open. You will need to replace both controls . Clock part # 316207511 and Sensor part # 316233903. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, January 27, 2012
