Christine for Model Number Frigidaire FCS388WHCC Hello, recently my oven wont get up to set temp. I set for 350 and it maxes out at 230. Both elements are getting hot. Could it be the probe? Can an element get hot but still be responsible for this problem? Thank you
Answer Christine, This issue would be more likely an issue with the temp probe. You can test the temp probe resistance. The resistance should be 1090 ohms at room temperature. You would also want to test it when it gets to the max temp. The way to figure out the resistance is for every 1 degree of temperature rise you will add 2 ohms of resistance to the original 1090 ohms at 77 degrees. Read More...
