Part Number: OEM13106589
Manufacturer Part Number: 134786100

The Moisture Sensor is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This essential component detects the moisture level in the dryer drum during a drying cycle. It plays a crucial role in determining the optimal drying time, preventing over-drying or under-drying of clothes.

A faulty moisture sensor can be caused by various factors. Over time, the sensor may become coated with lint or residue, affecting its accuracy. Additionally, electrical malfunctions or physical damage can lead to sensor failure.

Symptoms of a bad moisture sensor may include:

  • Clothes that are still damp or excessively dry after a drying cycle.
  • The dryer stops prematurely or runs for an extended period.
  • Error codes related to moisture detection.

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

Jeffry Sandi Villalobos for Model Number 134786100

Hello, I have a dryer model FASE7074LA0 that works normal and starts to heat but at 12-15 minutes it turns off, after it goes off pulse Start and Cancel for codes and "E F2" appears, could you help me indicating what that code means and also explaining how I can test the Humidity Sensor 134786100 P.S. I installed the new Heater Element because the old one was open. Another important fact is that no matter how many times the dryer is turned off, I turn it on again and it turns on normally but at 12-15 minutes it turns off making the sound of "end of cycle" I remain attentive to your valuable help!

Answer

Jerry, This error is not a valid error but it would be recommended to check the venting of the dryer itself and check the venting to the outside of the home to make sure that it is not blocked. EF errors indicate this as a possibility. Also check the thermistors to ensure that they are good. One test for checking to see if venting is clean is disconnect the hose at the back of the dryer and run a load and see if the same symptoms occur or if they go away. if they remain it will likely be venting inside the unit and if it works normally the venting to the outside of the home would be the issue.
