Tom J for Model Number GLGQ2152E Dryer makes a noise when the drum is turning. Starts out like coins rattling in a jar or ball bearings grinding; this lasts for just a moment, then begins a sound like grinding or a pump as the drum turns. There is no burning smell or overheating that I can tell, and it dries clothes OK in the correct amount of time. I changed the rear bearing kit thinking that must be the problem, but the sound is still there. The belt looked OK. Wondering what to check or replace next.
Answer Hello Tom, check the motor bearings by unhooking the belt and turn the motor shaft by hand, same with the idler arm pulley. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, November 30, 2020
