Tim How or where can I test the Range harness on my Frigidaire FGGF3059TFA? Also how does the Oven and / or Broiler Igniter work? If the Oven gets 120 volts from the Yellow,(Y3), from the control board to engage it, does the Igniter shut itself off after the burner fires even though it is still being fed 120v in order to keep the Oven valve open while baking? This would be different from the Range which will continue to try to ignite after the the burner fires as long as any control is in the Ignite position until you turn past that position, correct?
Answer Tim, A continuity test is all you can test on a harness. The igniter stays glowing the whole broil or bake cycle unless its a direct spark ignition system. Your igniter can glow but not draw enough amps to open the gas valve. You need 3.2 to 3.6 amp draw at the gas valve for the gas to flow. Read More...
