Answer Yummy, A model number of the refrigerator and the part number of your "universal" start device, would've been a lot more helpful. But basically, the wire attached to the top terminal of the start device you listed, should be the 120 VAC power supply (Hot) to the device. the wire on the lower terminals would ne the neutral leg of the circuit. You'll need to be careful, but disconnect the top wire from the start device, restore power to the refrigerator and make sure the control is on and in a cooling mode.
