Reeferrover for Model Number Frigidaire FRT21NRGW2 After experiencing a strong burning odor, I removed the starter/overload assembly and found that the plastic was melted where the three compressor pins plug into the assembly. I removed the condensor (part number 216236200), which appears okay. But I don't see any way to remove the assembly from the two wires (one red, the other white) which power the assembly. Maybe the terminals have been melted beyond recognition. Can I just cut the wires next to the assembly body and, if so, will I be able to connect them to the new assembly?
Answer ReeferRover, If you use a small flatblade screwdriver and put down in the hole next to the wire on the slotted side, there is a push tab on the end of the wire to release it from the terminal. You can break the old housing as it is not being used to be able to get to it easier. This will allow you to push the wire onto the new relay. Read More...
