Keith J. for Model Number RB-131L-CH I have a Frigidaire electric cooktop model number RB-131L-CH (circa 1972). My wife was cooking with it the other night, heard a pop near the heating element controls, and now the red light (that only used to be lit when power was applied to one of the elements) is now continuously on. I inspected the circuit connecting the four heating element switches and saw no obvious damage or disconnection, so I assume something broke in one of the switches. It's anybody's guess whether its the large element switch or the small element switch. While I'd rather stick to switches closer to the original, a universal switch may be wiser in this situation. Do you think the problem here is a bad switch? Could you provide part numbers for the appropriate original switch replacements for the large (switch Model 72713, Style 7521245, 10-11.5A) & small (switch Model 71274, Style 7532999, 4.4-5.5A) as well as the appropriate universal replacement switch? Thanks.
Answer Keith, Switch part number 5303935086 is the universal switch kit for both the 6 and 8 inch elements and are the only switches available for your unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, June 10, 2013
