Jonathan for Model Number FARE1011MW1 My dryer won't turn on, it just beeps. I tried to put it into diagnosis mode but it wouldn't make the long beep noise to confirm it entered diagnosis mode. I took it apart to test for continuity and the thermal fuses, thermostat, and door lock are all fine, but the thermistor was showing 39k resistance on the 200k setting. Can the thermistor cause it to not start? Also is there a way to test the start switch, and both control boards? Thanks for your time
Answer Jonathan, if the outlet thermistor 134587700 is registering 39KO, it will tell the control that the unit is much hotter than it should be which can cause operational issues. The outlet thermistor should only read 5KO at room temperature. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide a testing procedure for the user interface control 137332400NH and the main control A00499002 would be considered if every other component tests good. The beep notifies that the user interface is registering input, so it would not be a likely failure. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, June 9, 2020
