Jimb for Model Number Kenmore #790.9642240A After replacing dual burner infinite switch #316238201 and checking to see how it works, the dual feature only burns in the large with small size, no small size burn by only. I believe I correctly installed the switch. Could the switch have been damaged during delivery. I saw the delivery man throw it on the concrete and it landed on the terminals. If not that, what else might the problem be?

If the switch replacement was for the right front burner element, recheck the wiring according to the wiring diagram. If the switch was for the left front element, the issue could be the simmer select board 316429301, or the incorrect switch was installed.
