Mike for Model Number GLEB3OT8CBA The door switch (part number 12) on the lower oven has melted along with the connector (socket) the switch plugs into. I have ordered and received the door switch, but I need to obtain the connector (socket) the switch plugs into. I would also like to obtain the wiring harness that goes to the connector for switch. Do you have a part number for the connector and the wiring harness? Thanks
Answer Hi Mike. Parts breakdown is kind of hard to see. On the switch there are 2 metal tabs that will lock the switch in place once it is pushed into the body. The violet is the Common switch connection. Blk is on "N/C". Brown is the "N/O" . You need to take the new switch to the local hardware and get insulated connectors that match the terminal blade width of the switch. This way you can get the locking tab type that access the hole in the middle of the terminals. They can be 3/16" wide or up to 5/16". The wiring harness is no longer available. You will find a wiring diagram folded in the control area or the clock area. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 26, 2011
