Frank for Model Number kENMORE 417.81142000 My dryer is getting way too hot and scourching cloths. Changing the drying temperature settings does not change this from happening. When in the tumble only (no heat) mode, it is cool. I checked the vent hose and the dryer and not clogged. Cleaned anyway and no difference. Thermal limiter? Anything else? Thanks!
Answer Hello Frank. Test the thermostats 3204267 and 134048800 and make sure it is opening and shutting off the heater. If not, you will need to replace the thermostat. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
