Celia for Model Number GLTF2940FS1 The fabric softener is not leaving the cup during the rinse cycle. Are the filters of the water inlet valve removable? There is debris at the entry point of the washing machine. A plumber had cleaned them once, but I do not need him to come back just for that. How do I remove them? It does not seem necessary to replace the entire water inlet valve. Thank you!
Answer Celia, you'll need a pair of pliers, small flat blade screwdriver and an old tooth brush, first turn the water off at the wall, and unplug the power cord from the outlet. Disconnect the hoses from the faucet, use the screwdriver to remove the screened washer in the end of the hose. Use the toothbrush to clean the screens while running the water over the washer. Disconnect the hoses from the fill valve, use the screwdriver to carefully extract the debris screen from the valve openings, you don't want to put a hole in the screens. repeat the cleaning process with the running water and tooth brush. Use the screwdriver to reinsert the screen in the valve opening as far as possible. Try not to distort the screens. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, April 30, 2015
