Lynn for Model Number FGF366ECB My oven is PROPANE. The repairman said I need part # 316404901 safety valve. He said something about flipping something up so it runs on propane and not natural gas. Do you know what he is talking about? I have watched various videos on installing a new safety valve, but none say anything about a difference in installation for gas and propane. This is the only thing scaring me enough to not change it myself! Thanks for any advice.
Answer Lynn, Based on the information provided the safety valve would not have anything to flip (that is only if you were replacing the regulator) the valve does need to be adjusted to LP by using a 1/2 inch wrench and turning the orifice clockwise 1.5 to 2 turns.
