Emma Tee for Model Number WCSR20701CWW I have a GE washer from 1999. The Coupler has gotten stuck inside the agitator. (The bolt head holding it to the bottom of the tub oval thing broke off and the plastic 'teeth' have worn away, so the agitator is useless, even though the oval thingee still 'agitates'.) There appears to be a 'fixed' plastic portion permanently sealed inside the agitator and then the coupler (which I want to replace.) portion that moves up and down a bit inside of that. How can I remove the broken coupler without damaging the fixed portion?
Answer Emma, To get the coupler out you would want to try to use a long flat blade screwdriver and try to get the coupler past the lips that inside the agitator. If you have a long pair of needle nose pliers you could try them to but would be more about prying it out. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 9, 2019
