Scott for Model Number WHRE5260E0WW Once pulling off the agitator, how am I sure it is on correctly? I have pulled it off and tried pushing it back on a few times now but have no heard any clicks or snaps that is was on fully. Any suggestions or is firmly pushing on the agitator enough to ensure a good fit?
Answer Scott, a couple of things to look for. There should be no more than a 3/8 inch gap between the bottom of the agiator and the tub. You can slip your finger tips between the agitator and the the tub, there should be some resistance when you get to the clips that hold the agitator to the coupling. Yes, a good sharp hit with the palm of your hand, should seat and lock the agitator in place. If you don't get it locked down, it will eventually come up and off the coupling and float up.
