Michael Manley for Model Number wwa8360gblad It is a General Electric washing machine. It agitates. But it has been getting slower and slower, for quite a while. You can push down on the agitator and it agitates a whole lot faster.I noticed a while back my clothes not getting clean. And also makes a squeaking noise, and gets quieter when you push down on the agitater.Today I think its the final wash.I do not want to tire something else out. What parts do I need, and do yall have a video on fixing it.Thanks for any info.
Answer Michael, It sounds like the agitator and spline have worn out and are not being driven correctly by the transmission. You may also have a worn out agitator extension(if equipped) that is allowing the agitator to rub on the bottom of the tub. Unfortunately, the [WH43X102] Agitator/Coupling Assembly are no longer available from the manufacturer. Once you find the parts needed, the repair isn't difficult at all, To Remove The Agitator Snap the top cap off and remove the screw. Then remove the agitator extension ( if equipped ) and agitator. Then remove the splined coupling from the agitator shaft( on older machines, this can be pretty difficult and may require a gear puller, or "cutting" the splined coupler and removing it a piece at a time. Reverse the procedure and check for leaks and operation. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, November 30, 2017
