Manufacturer Part Number: WR23X10582

This temperature sensor monitors internal refrigerator temperatures and relays them to the control, helping the unit maintain consistent cooling. Replacing a failed sensor restores accurate temperature regulation and more reliable operation. What it does:

  • Measures compartment or evaporator temperature and sends a resistance signal to the control board
  • Helps the control modulate compressor and fan run times for proper cooling
  • Typical failure signs: sections too warm or too cold, erratic temperatures, or running longer than normal
  • Causes inaccurate temperature readings compared to setpoints
What's included:
  • 1 temperature sensor assembly
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing
  • Access the sensor in the affected section; release any cover/clip and unplug the connector
  • Route the new sensor's wiring like the original and ensure it's fully seated in its holder or clip
  • Restore power and allow up to 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize

Eb for Model Number GE PFSS6PKXASS

Hi, Recently replaced External Coil Assembly due to corroded portion at the bottom caused freon leak. Also replaced 2 Bottom Freezer Fan. Refrigerator seem to be working fine and reading 38 degrees and below as set. The freezer however is a different story. Placed a cup of water to freeze and it took nearly 24 hours to freeze it. It does freeze but I feel that it's taking quite a long time. Any thoughts on possible issue/s and solution/s? Please advice... Kind regards, Erwin

You did not mention who had done the previous system repair as this is usually done by an appliance technician, but the filter/drier should also have been replaced and a proper vacuum procedure done to eliminate any system contaminants before a recharge. You may want to do this a 2nd time and if the lack of sufficient cooling still occurs there may be a compressor problem,
