Mike for Model Number DBXR453ET3AA I just replaced the motor and belt along with the white slides. The green slides and the white slides for that matter were fine as is the bearing support and I replaced the rear bearing last year. When I run the belt over the pulley to get a tight belt and try to run the dryer the barrel doesn't turn. I've removed the barrel and checked the alignment and it is going in fine. When I unhook the belt from the tension arm the motor spins away. The idler pulley on the tension arm spins pretty freely as well when the belt is not attached. Do you have any suggestions? Also the motor starts to work immediately after plugging in the dryer instead of waiting for the start knob to be turned. I know I'm doing something wrong but hitting a brick wall. You people rock by the way.
Answer Mike, If the motor is coming on before the start button is pushed then the timer would be faulty causing the motor to get power when powered off. For the drum not turning but the motor does then double check the rear bearings to make sure that they are not causing an issue. If they check ok then the motor would most likely be weak not allowing to turn drum. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, May 28, 2013
