Matt for Model Number DBXR453GT3WW I replaced the belt in August of 2010 with WE12M29 which I ordered from here, problem is the belt just broke today. The belt snapped and is only held together by threads in many other spots. Seems like the belt should last more than three years especially since the previous belt lasted way longer if it wasn't the original. My question is am I going to have to replace the belt every few years? Also is there something else that could cause the belt to fail after 3 years?
Answer Hello Matt. This sounds like you may have an issue with the rear drum bearing and the front bearing. If the drum is tight or is dragging, it can cause the belt to break on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, June 10, 2013
