Hugh for Model Number Ge side by side GSS25WGTG BB The ice and the water dispenser no longer works. When I press for the ice the temperatures of the freezer and the fridge flash. I have unplugged the fridge for one minute, the icemaker is still making ice, and I know the water works because for a moment it was working after malfunction and it did dispense water. Everything right now is leading to a motherboard issue which would require me to swap it out. I just want to make sure that this is the way to go. thank you.
Answer Hugh, You will want to check the wire harness at the bottom of the freezer door to make sure that there are no loose or broken wires. If this checks ok then the most likely cause of the failure would be the main control board. Double check to make sure that the dispenser is not in the control lock out position. Read More...
