Ashok for Model Number CSX20ELG

Stopped working. Based on guidance I replaced Relay, Defrost Timer. Unit turned on made little Ice and then not cooling at all. Replaced the Capacitor. Not cooling but the small fan next to the Compressor comes on for a minute and then stops (this happened after the Relay and Timer was put in as well). Repeats on short interval. Compressr is luke warm. Inside fans appear to be working as I see air flow comin into the Freezer top entry point. Not cooling. I manually turned the Timer nothing is happening.

Ashok, if the evaporator fan is operating continuously while the compressor and condenser fan are shutting off and turning on, it would be recommended that the voltage to the compressor be tested. If the 120 Volts AC is coming and going, the most likely cause of failure would be the wire harness in the cabin. If this is the case, the wire harness in the cabin is not repairable, unfortunately.

Aaron for Model Number GSHF6HGDBCWW

My fridge GSHF6HGDBCWW. When selecting cubed or crushed ice on the display panel, then when trying to dispense the ice, my display panel "shorts" out, all lights in the panel go out for a few seconds and "resets" itself. Selecting/dispensing water works fine. I checked the wiring harness from the left door/under the fridge and it looks ok. I popped off the touch screen display and all the wires looked fine. I don't see any burn marks on my control panel either. Any suggestions on what would cause this issue? Thanks in advance.

1 Answer

Aaron, If this is only happening on the crushed ice setting then it sounds likely that there is a problem internally with the dispenser control board.

Juan, To install this control board, you will pull the unit out and remove the cover over the board. Take a photo of the wiring and then take the old board out and install the new one.

Gregg for Model Number GSS25QGTACC

We had a power outage the other night for 4 hours. When the power company got the power back on the refrigerator did not work. when we open the door the light comes on but there is no cooling. The door panel that allows us to control the temperature and switch water or ice is not working either. How do I determine what needs to be replaced. Looking at the diagrams, I suspect that item #801 and possibly #9 need to be replaced. I have a voltage meter but don't know what to check. Can you give me some guidance?

1 Answer

Gregg, Using the diagram check for power into the board and then out of the board to the components that should be running.
