Leon for Model Number GE Mod#PSC23NSTDSS I have a GE Arctica Mod#PSC23NSTD that just went completely dead a few days ago with absolutely no function except some very faint blinking on the temp display. This unit has had some temp control problems over the past couple of years. Back then I had talked to a local appliance dealer/parts supplier (I fix some appliances localy among other things) who said it was probably the mobo because they were known to have problems with faulty caps on the mobo itself. The temp control problems went away when I started running the "custom cool" option a few months ago. Now the fridge is completely dead and I am pretty sure it's the mobo. So if I replace the mobo - what are some of the other things that can cause it's failure other than defective caps? Evaporator fan motor? Condenser fan motor? Fresh food motor? Appreciate your input - thanks.
Answer Hello Leon. It just sounds like the main board has failed and will need to be replaced. It does not sound like an issue with the other parts. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, September 4, 2013
