Chip B for Model Number PTS25SHPARBS I have a GE Profile Arctica Top Freezer refrigerator purchased approximately 2003. Model # PTS25SHPARBS - Serial # LR303218 The unit has run with no issues up until 2 weeks ago. The fresh food and freezer lights, condenser fan, evaporator fan and touch pad were working but the compressor was not running. Diagnostic tests with a volt meter showed the compressor was not receiving any voltage from the main control board. I removed the main control board and found that it had a burn mark behind the 832A-1C-S relay. I replaced the main control board with a new unit and the refrigerator ran correctly for 1 day. On the second day the temperature of the freezer and fresh food areas started to climb. All of the fans still worked but the temperature touch pad was dark (new symptom) and the compressor was not running again. I unplugged the refrigerator and reset all of the connections on the main board. The temperature touch pad display and compressor started working again... but only for about 30 minutes. The fresh food and freezer lights are still working but the condenser fan, evaporator fan, touch pad (dark) and compressor are all not working. I tried reseating the new main control board connections again with no change. I then removed the new control board and found no damage or burn marks. I then placed the old burnt main control board back in the refrigerator and returned to my original problems. (The fresh food and freezer lights, condenser fan, evaporator fan and touch pad all working but the compressor was not running. Diagnostic tests with a volt meter showed the compressor not receiving any voltage from the main control board.) Any help much appreciated.
