Steve G. for Model Number PSS29NHMDCC Compressor is not cooling or running. It has no power going to the compressor at the C terminal. The evaporator fan and the condenser fan are running. Everything inside the refrigerator is working. I can jump L1 to the C terminal and make the compressor run. I can't find a wiring diagram. Is there another control that could keep the compressor off or is the circuit board bad? It has a blue connector on the circuit board that says Line-Defr-Comp. It has power at the Line connection but no power coming out of the circuit board at the Comp connection. Is it a bad circuit board?
Answer Hello Steve, If the condenser fan motor is running, you either have a bad overload or the harness is bad. You see, on a standard compressor assembly as you have, when power is supplied to the fans, it is also supplied to the compressor. If you jump a wire from the hot wire to the condenser and put it on the compressor at the overload, the compressor will operate as designed. You have either lost connection at a spade connector or the wiring harness has a bad wire in it. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, December 4, 2013
