Answer Pat, This issue does sound like it would be caused by a bad control board but may also have to do with the thermistors. You will want to check the thermistors in the unit. At 0 degrees the thermistor should read 42.2K ohms, at 37 degrees the reading should be 14.4K ohms and at room temp of 77 degrees the resistance should be 5K ohms.
