Dustin C. for Model Number GSL25JFXBLB Our freezer defrost was not working. We replaced the heater and bracket assembly, the defrost thermostat, thermistor and the main board. For a couple of weeks nothing changed (wasn't defrosting still) but now it defrosts twice a day. I figured it was just "catching up" but it continued for several days. We unplugged and defrosted the refrigerator and freezer. For a couple of days everything was normal but now it is defrosting a couple of times a day again. Is this normal or an indication that something is wrong?
Answer Hello Dustin, The defrost circuit cannot "accidentally" defrost too many times. Most refrigerators will defrost every 8 to 12 hours.
