Rich G. for Model Number GE PSS26SGRD SS The Ice dispenser works off and on. Noted when I hit the ice dispenser, everything shuts down and a couple of seconds (lights, temp readings, compressor if on). Everything else seems ok. The problem seems to fit the issues with Main control board, except the fact it works once in a while (less and less as well as sporadically). Any ideas?
Answer Rich, Based on your post information and description, we would have to agree with you and recommend the WR55X10942C / WR55X10942 Main Control Board/"mother board" be replaced. There"' most likely a loose solder joint or a weak spot in the foil tracers on the board, that's breaking down and causing the board to drop the voltage to all the circuits.
