Allan J for Model Number PFS22SISBSS With your advise I changed the condenser fan motor and the main control board, I subsequently followed your video to change both parts.Everything went well but after less than two weeks after, the same problem arose again. Presently both temperatures on the monitor board has risen, also fridge has stopped cooling but the freezer is still making ice. I am puzzled. Kindly assist. Thank you.
Answer Allan, It would be recommended to check for a defrost system failure. You will want to get into the freezer and remove the rear wall of the freezer compartment to make sure that the evaporator coil is not completely iced up. If it is then test the defrost thermostat and defrost heater for continuity. If they both have continuity then the most likely cause for this issue will be the thermistor.
