Chuckwj for Model Number PFS22MISBWW

Our GE Profile bottom-freezer fridge: In the morning, all is well (temps are 0/37, as set). mid-morning temps start to rise. (Ambient temp is 77/78 deg). Freezer gets up in the teens, then in the 20's by afternoon. (ice is 'wet') Fridge gets up to mid-40's. The compressor runs all day and is still running at bedtime. By bedtime, Temps are down a little (teens in freezer, 39/40 in fridge) . In the morning, all is well again (0/37). I know it's summer, but it hasn't done this past summers. The coils are clean. Ice maker works fine all day and is full (cuts off) by morning. Thanks

Answer

ChuckWJ, With this issue it sounds like it would be a faulty main control board that is causing the unit to stop cooling properly during the day. Also keep in mind the temperatures will vary also with how often the unit is being gotten into. This may not be the issue in your case but is a thing to look at.
