Juan for Model Number HSS25GFPAWW I have a ge hss25gfpww which is not functioning properly only work for about seven days and then started to defrost on both sides and when defrosted completly then it start to frost normal and stays working well for seven days again and then do the same defrost both sides do you have any idea the problem that can be . Maybe is the main control board , the defrost thermostat or the defrost heater can you help me please
Answer Juan, This issue will be a defrost issue. You will need to check the defrost heater and defrost limiter to make sure that they have continuity. If there is continuity then you will need to check the defrost thermostat for resistance of 10K ohms at room temp. If this checks ok then the issue will be a faulty control board. Read More...
