Gwilly67 for Model Number PSS27NGNABB This frig sat for a few years in the garage unplugged, it worked before that. I plugged it in and everything seems to work but the compressor. The compressor does not make any noise. Does this sound like a bad compressor or capacitor for the compressor or a bad motherboard? Condenser fan, lights, interior fan and temperature control panel are working.
Answer Gwilly67, You will want to check to make sure that the overload and relay is getting 120 vac to it. If it is then the most likely cause for this will be a bad compressor. If no power then the control board would likely be the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, November 27, 2017
Answer Gwilly, Based on your post information, start at the overload/relay WR07X10057 & WR08X10026 . If the condenser fan is running, then check the wires from the condenser fan to the compressor, if OK, replace the overload / relay on the compressor. The compressor and condenser fan use the same power source (120 VAC) from the "mother board", if the fan runs, then the compressor should start and run as well. Read More...
