Don for Model Number PSS26SGRBSS OK, as I'm digging into the diagnostics. The interior lights are on, though not the panel at the top that might show freezer/refrigerator temperatures. That top panel is totally dark. Electricity IS getting to the main control board, as I was able to measure 110 across L1 and both the other two terminals. (I had tried, as I'd read in a different post, to jump the compressor from L1 -- this was a mistake, as L1 to orange, at least, on the compressor made some fireworks and kicked out the circuit breaker--twice. Probably not the best move, as I really didn't know what I was doing in there.) Anyway, the board is getting juice, and I was able to measure continuity across the fuse, just out of curiosity. Opinions please? Or other tests to do? I am beginning to focus on the reality that it may be the main control board. Thanks much.
Answer Don, It sounds likely your main board is out if you jumped from the L1 to orange and there were sparks. You can test the J4 connector from pin 1 black to pin 2 red for 12 vdc and if there is proper power then the display board is faulty. if there is not power then the main board will be the issue.
