Josh for Model Number GE ESS25LSNA BS I have a GE side by side fridge (ESS25LSNA) that stopped cooling in fridge and freezer compartments. Electronic temp display is out as well but light in fridge still comes on. Compressor and fans are not running either. Could this be a problem with the control board (WR55X10942)?
Answer Josh, it would be recommended that the main control WR55X10942C (part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available) be tested for 12VDC at the connection J2 from pin 3 to pin 8. If there is voltage, there is a short in the evaporator fan and it would need to be replaced. If not, the next test would be for 12VDC at connection J4 from pin 2 to pin 3. If there is voltage, the dispenser control WR55X10298 (part has been discontinued by the manufacturer) has a short and would need to be replaced. If there was not voltage, unplug the temperature selection interface WR55X10262. If the unit starts to operate, the interface has a short and would need to be replaced. If the unit remains dead, the main control has failed. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 20, 2021
