Bkd for Model Number DPSE810EG0WT Hello I have a GE profile dryer that is not getting hot. I took the dryer apart and vacumed and blew all lint and dust. I also cleaned the vent line. I checked both heat coils and they were 19 ohms. The 3 sensors behind the drum all measured less than 1 ohm. The thermistor on the blower measured 110 K ohm as the charts gave. The other sensor on the blower measured less than 1 ohm as well. BTW the heat strip does come on for a brief moment then it switches off. I have run out of things to try except the control board. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Answer Hello BKD. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter to see if it is good. If it is not glowing, test for power. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
