  • Sends control signals to the dryer's components as designed by the model
  • Coordinates timing and status indicators
  • Common symptoms: won't start, console unresponsive, cycles that won't run/advance/end properly, intermittent power or random lights/beeps
What's included: 1 electronic control board assembly. Installation notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; this board carries line voltage.
  • Use ESD precautions and handle the PCB by the edges.
  • Photograph/label connectors and move wires one at a time to the new board; secure with existing bracket.
  • After installation, run the model's diagnostic or test routine if applicable.

Andreas for Model Number DPSE810GGWT

The GE gas dryer DPSE810 won't start, but occasionally starts and runs and operates normally if I do something like unplug and plug the power cord and/or rotate the selection dial. I checked the door switch (correct continuity for open and closed door), the belt switch (continuity when closed and no continuity when open), cleaned all lint from the motor fan. When you press the start button it makes the clicking sound and the motor tries to spin but stops. I know that the motor tries to spin the drum because I left the door open, while pressing the door switch. Is it the motor, the board or other? and how can you check? Thanks

Answer

Andreas, with the door open and the door switch pressed in, the drum can be rotated as soon as the dryer is started. If it continues to run after rotating the drum, the failure would be in the start windings of the motor. There should be a number in between the G and the W of the model number that would be necessary to identify what specific part numbers are used with this dryer.
