Ed for Model Number WPSR3100W1WW; SN TV149450G My Washer (WPSR3100W1WW) stopped spinning and agitating. After trouble shooting a variety of possible causes I determined, the belt was good and if I rotated the motor by hand, the agitator would turn freely but the motor would not turn when electric power was applied -- The motor was hot to the touch. When I removed and inspected the motor (Model 5KH61KW251G8) I saw pin (M6) connecting the BLUE wire was discoloured (Brown) indicating overheating. My searching on line shows motor Model WH49X10035 is the recommended replacement and I see this kit comes with a motor" Start Capacitor" while a start capacitor does not appear to be in the original wiring of my washer? Should my washer with my original motor have had a starting cap? If I install the new motor (WH49X10035), should I modify the wiring to include a Started Capacitor? Thank You, Ed
Answer Ed, the starting capacitor should be used on the new motor. There is a wiring harness that comes with motor [WH49X10035] that allows for the use of the capacitor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, April 8, 2019
