Joseph for Model Number JVM1350AW002 Does this part have charcoal bits in it? My original does and this photo doesn't show bits, only what looks like fabric. Do they no longer include bits? Also, What accounts for this part being almost 4X the cost of other generic replacements? I don't mind cost if there's a major difference, i.e., higher quality between the parts, but that's a big spread just for OEM part. Thank you.
Answer Joseph, No, the filter assembly doesn't have "charcoal bits in it". The filter has a fabric-based medium that is impregnated with activated charcoal (it would look like black dust). The filter is a well made, efficient and quality part from the manufacturer. As for part price, AppliancePartsPros.com makes a minor adjustment to the cost of the part from the manufacturer.
